Where to find beautiful artworks for your brand.
Last time I shared about stock photos – this time we're digging into a whole different aspect of getting images for your brand: illustrations and art. And let me tell you: I'm letting you in on a bit of a secret here and will share some sources with you that most folks don't realise exist…
Us mystics tend to be folks who simply need aesthetics to be spot-on. We need to feel the symbolism in what we share, we need to sense the energy of it all, the nuances, the subtleties. We can't handle the standard stock photo vibe, and probably never will (just Google “women laughing at salad”, and you'll know what I mean). So why not ditch all of that and work with actual art instead?
Artworks like paintings and illustrations are actually a great way of bringing some spice into your brand – you can pick a specific style that suits you, and you can explore new ways of expressing yourself in a way that truly stands out from the crowds.
Today I'm sharing my top 3 favourite sources with you where you can get access to art for free.
WHERE TO FIND THE BEST FREE ART RESOURCES FOR YOUR MYSTIC BRAND
NO 1 – public.work
This space is curated by the Cosmos, the artist's and designer's favourite when it comes to Pinterest alternatives.
On public.work you can enjoy infinity-scrolling through myriads of illustrations and artworks that are all public domain, copyright-free images.
NO 2 – The National Gallery of Art
Here you can also find thousands of amazing artworks that you can use free of charge. The open access policy means that you can download images and use them even for commercial purposes without needing to seek authorisation by the gallery. Neat, right?
Access the gallery here and enjoy exploring!
NO 3 – Rijksmuseum
Another amazing source for art is the Rijksstudio. Here you can browse many collections for beautiful works of art that you can download. Every image comes with precise details that include information about copyright – most images are public domain and ready to use.
And if you're into vintage illustrations, I invite you to check out Tom Chalky - their work isn't free, but you can find beautiful packages that you can download for a low price (I am not affiliated with them, just enjoying their work).
